What are your habits?
Have you paid attention to what your habits are?
Good or bad, we all have them.
In this episode, I explain how decluttering helps with your habits and allows you to be aware of what habits you have each and every day.
What habits do you do before you go to bed?
Setting your intentions for the next day really does help with your habits. You already know what you want to do and you aren’t falling back on habits that aren’t helping your business and life.
This includes what you do right before you fall asleep. I don’t own a television for many reasons, but if I did, I would not have one in my room because falling asleep to the television on, personally, doesn’t do me any good for sleeping.
I can even tell when I’ve been on my phone too close to going to bed. My sleep is greatly affected by screen time right before bed.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
I love waking up and thinking about three things I’m grateful for right away. I even have a small notebook that I use to write them down. It sits right beside my bed, so I have no excuse not to do it.
This habit alone sets up my day to focus on the good things versus what’s going wrong. I never used to be able to do this. I was the type of person that would wake up and first thing I did was throw coffee on. I wasn’t intentional on how I started my day, let alone when I started my day.
How do you react to things happening in your life?
If someone or something challenges you in life, do you react right away out of anger/ hate/ bitterness? Or are you able to step back and access the situation and be intentional about how you react to life and all that happens?
It’s not easy to approach without emotional outbursts especially when we feel hurt, but it’s necessary to build those habits of looking at the situation from all angles and approaching it with both our head and heart.
