About Declutter for Change
Declutter for Change begun with an idea for a podcast name. Within that name, I realized, things have shifted from my former name (Home & Office Detox) to what you see here at Declutter for Change.
Change is inevitable. If you aren’t changing, you aren’t growing.
When you are in the midst of change, clutter will show up. It’s the old version of you meeting up with the new (undiscovered) version and causing clutter, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is only through decluttering your old ways, your stuff, your old habits, your old self, do you grow.
It’s not easy, but it is worth it.
I am here to help you navigate that change and declutter along the way so you can be more productive, have better relationships, and live your fullest life possible.
About Heather Clark
If you’re anything like me, you’re the type of person who doesn’t want to think of where things go. They just always have a place. When things feel like they’re in order, life just seems to make sense.
You’re energetic, happy, you’re productive and get sh*t done.
So when your home and life feel cluttered, it stresses you the eff out!
Years ago I went through some serious life and career transitions. I personally know the effects of clutter when life gets messy.
After going through a lengthy divorce and being fired for the first time ever (and a few more crazy life messes) I felt like I had no direction and it manifested itself in clutter: emotionally, mentally and physically.
I had no idea where I wanted to go. I felt my life had been turned upside down. I was not giving myself permission to let go of the things that no longer made sense for me and I felt overwhelmed. I felt like I had lost control of my own life and everything in it.
So in an effort to rebuild my life,
I started a cleaning business that leveraged my natural strengths. I’ve always been the person that actually enjoys cleaning and organizing (yeah, really!).
With each house I cleaned and decluttered, I felt better.
More aligned to who I really was at my core.
I started to trust myself and my intuition.
I felt happier and appreciated things/ people/ life more.
I felt more in control of my own life while helping my clients clear their clutter out of theirs.
Life was good again.
I realized how therapeutic clearing the clutter really is.
What started as a way to work around my kids’ schedule and make money doing what I love ended up turning into the amazing online business and podcast I have today.
Now I get to work with inspiring people who know at their core they are meant for something bigger and better, but clutter gets in their way.
I help action takers who are going through change(s), but the clutter seems to stop them. They are ready to clear that sh*t out now!
I LOVE IT.
